From Vancouver International Airport (YVR) it's a 75 mile drive to the ski resort of Whistler via Highway 99 and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to drive. This beautiful drive is known as 'The Sea to Sky Highway'. Flying time to Vancouver is approx. 10-11 hours from Europe.
You can easily rent a car at the airport or take a taxi to the ski resort of Whistler. If you really wanted to splash out you can even hire a limo. For taxis in Whistler and the surrounding area try Whistler Taxi services who are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have flat rate fares to Vancouver airport.
Alternatively you can take a transfer to Whistler with one a company like Epic Rides or Pacific Coach Lines. Perimeters Whistler Express runs a daily scheduled shuttle service between Vancouver International Airport and Whistler, with several pick-up and drop-off points at Vancouver hotels and Whistler hotels (by reservation). Private charters are also available for up to 55 people.
Transport in and around the resort of Whistler is serviced by BC Transit and provides a seasonal free bus shuttle service. However, most accommodations offer shuttle services to and from the lifts and Whistler Village.
